We have sent our initial salary and benefits numbers to the District and have received a counter offer of 2%.
It is our feeling that the District does not truly understand that the classified employees are not being adequately compensated. Cost of living, increases in health care costs and the increase in the minimum wage have out paced our increases.
We are calling for a show of support from our members at the next School Board meeting which is Tuesday, May 28th @7PM to show that we find the 2% offered is NOT ACCEPTABLE!
Please wear something red showing our commitment to receiving a fair and acceptable offer and a sign of our unity on this issue.
